Re: New Heater Blower Fitting
Resurrecting - My heater blower is on it's last legs and will need replacing in the spring. eefy's guide link seems to go to a dead end now. Does anyone have a new link or instructions as to how to remove / replace the blower? Also, it seems a common part for Mk1 golf, T2.5, and other VW of the 80s ...

Looks awesome. I want to do the same. Surely some of these parts were on other VW of the era?

Window aperture seals - where can I get or alternatives?
Part 22 outer door top seals: https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/scirocco/sci/1990-13/8/837-155000/#22 I am after the door to window seals but they seem as rare as a unicorn. @blueshark/Joost. Do you have a source? Are there alternatives from other VWs or generics that will fit? Would the Golf mk1 /...

Re: Air intake - Scala
For what it is worth, I used heating ducting from the aux heater in my camper van. It is a little tight on the fit, but has worked OK for the last 2 years. It is like this stuff https://www.amazon.co.uk/Exhaust-Diameter-Length-Diesel-Heating/dp/B082KJLPVW 45mm or 60mm I believe, I would need to doub...

Re: Replacing handbrake cables. How difficult?
UPDATE on the Update... Replaced the cylinder (managed to salvage the shoes) and it did it again. It turns out I had a micro-split in the bleed kit connecting hose and it, like seeping through the bleed nipple threads, allowed fluid to seep between the backplate and cylinder. I got a new bleed kit a...

Re: Replacing handbrake cables. How difficult?
Update: As mentioned, replacing the handbrake cables is not that difficult. What is difficult is dealing with other issues that surface during spannering! A couple of hours of handbrake cables has turned into 4 days of swearing. After taking off the NSR wheel, I found the cylinder was beginning to l...

Replacing handbrake cables. How difficult?
It’s been a year since posting in the running gear area and it is that time again. ‘URN’ failed it’s test on handbrake. I guess 32 years has taken it toll and they’ve seized The guy pulled so hard, something snapped. So the question. How difficult is changing the cables? They seem to disappear above...

Re: Light on Warning
Awesome, thx for the responses. A simple as a relay! Now to find one - Joost?
Reading some other VW forums, there is a suggestion that relay 99 is also needed - the variable wiper one.

Light on Warning
Has anyone retro fitted a lights on warning to their vehicle? I regularly leave them switched on and a warning buzzer or something would help.

I fixed it. Removed clock cluster, removed, cleaned and reset the voltage regulator thingy. Put it all back together and it works again.

Re: Boot lock seal
Both have very high shipping costs (for me in Slovenia, anyways), twice the value of the item. I am going to have to wait until my next trip to blighty and pick one up.

Re: Boot lock seal
Where to buy the book lock seal?
I got some cheapies from China and they are useless. Any good suppliers, specifically in Europe as my UK Scirocco is in Slovenia now.
