Re: Kamei GTX - Colouring in time!

So, after finally deciding what colour to do the car i promptly changed my mind. Decided i didnt think the car would look how i wanted all in the black, so i decided to do something completely different  Firstly i had to re-prime the bumpers and filler cap (mirrors/sunroof are staying blac...

Re: bloody brakes

As above im running the 9" servo, 22mm master cylinder with 256 brakes (girling 54 calipers) but with rear discs instead of calipers. My pedal travel is minimal before the brakes are well and truely on  I would keep the bigger servo but change to a 22mm master cylinder, less work than...

Re: bloody brakes

That could be your problem, standard master cylinders dont pair up with the 9" servo. You need to match the servo m/c to each other, you'll need a 22mm cylinder to go with your bigger servo - its got something to do with the plunger travel being different if i remember correctly

Re: bloody brakes

Start with the basics, check every union and make sure that everything is tight - ive had problems with the hoses not quite being up tight enough going over the rear beam! You bleeding them manually or with an easy bleed kit? Just did mine with an easy bleed and its a 1 man job, maually takes 2 and ...

Re: Kamei GTX - Primed!!!

Re: front antiroll bar

Quite hard to make out but this is how it should look when fitted http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff204/Birdyvw/ARB1.jpg The ends should be pushing down onto the wishbones http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff204/Birdyvw/ARB2.jpg and the kink in the bar faces the floor - its not much of a bend bu...

Re: poop brakes - help

Nowt wrong there, fluid will not be going anywhere near the linkges at the back of the servo :good:

Apart from any leaks from the lines themselves i'd be inclined to check the rear cylinders aren't leaking!

Does the pedal stay spongy when you pump it?

Re: Kamei GTX - Corrado dash is done!!

With the brakes done ive turned my attention back to getting it painted - i loathe doing bodywork :dash: http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff204/Birdyvw/Rebuild/IMG_20110603_145740.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff204/Birdyvw/Rebuild/IMG_20110603_145900.jpg Got the bumpers and tailgate prim...

Re: Kamei GTX - Corrado dash is done!!

Been a while sonce ive updated this! Got a bit more done, progress has been a bit slow over the last month tho :chill: Found a rust hole in one of the more unusual places - cant ever recall seeing a 'rocco rust here! http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff204/Birdyvw/Rebuild/IMG_20110414_160247.jpg Cl...

Re: T-Pieces

You don't need any 'T' pieces to run the VDO oil pressure gauge. Fitted one on my ABF and on a friends DX engine without having to use one! iirc there isn't enough water temp senders on the engine to run both the built in dash gauge and the extra VDO gauge. You may want to run a 'T' piece on one of ...
