Tyre size on Estorils
I have a set of 15" Estorils on my Rocco, currently running 185/55s at the mo but need a front pair of tyres. Are these the best size? Car is lowered 40mm if that makes any difference.

Re: fiting a weber ( a rough guide )
Yep, it mentions it in the instructions. There should have been a couple of spacers in the original kit to raise the front mount. I have the instructions as a pdf that I could email you if you want.

Re: Running a bit warm
I'd had the odd squeak and tightened it up a couple of times. Only thing I can think is that is was slipping but just not making any noise. I'm as baffled as anyone, but happy that it seems to have sorted itself out.

Re: Running a bit warm
Well I seem to have sorted it, by a random turn of events. I was driving home last Sat and my fan belt snapped :crying: , quick pit stop to fit the spare I had in the boot (only put it in two days before! :swoon: ). Now the car seems to be running at the proper temp, with the temp gauge sitting ...

Re: Running a bit warm
To flush it I ran it for a about 20 mins with some of the wynns engine flush in the coolant. I then ran the system through with clean water. I didn't take the top hose off the rad and run it through though, but I did stick the hose up in the bottom hose of the rad and keep doing it till the water ...

Running a bit warm
I have noticed since getting the Rocco back on the road she seems to be running a lttle warm. The needle normally sits just to the right of the LED warning light, but moves to the position shown in the pick when I'm driving around town etc. The light has never flashed, and it hasn't gone any higher ...

Re: 1.6 Downpipe
All sorted now thanks to Ben upgrading his exhaust. After some jiggery pokery and partial dropping of the rear beam, the exhaust has been replaced. The exhaust from Ben fitted like a glove, now I don't have to worry about bits falling off if I go over a bump!!!

Re: 1.6 Downpipe
Well having been under the car, I can confirm that the downpipe is gone and my suspicions about the back box have been confirmed as it has a pinhole below the exit pipe and several pinholes in the bottom of the box. There also is a slight blow from the junction between the centre section and back ...

1.6 Downpipe
Right, on my way to work this morning the downpipe has fractured at the joint to the centre section on my GT :dash: . Phoned GSF and they don't have any, and none of their suppliers seem to either. What are my options? I can probably bodge it back together to get me through to the weekend :beg: . I ...

This is the gauge I bought. Thread was M10x1.5 though so I had to machine up an adaptor.

Re: 15/40 oil in EW Engine ?
I've recently been trying some 20/50 in my 1.6. Have to say it's been pretty sucessful so far. I thought it may be a tad thick and the tappets not like it too much, but they've been very quiet so far. Oil pressure is up and on a whole the engine seems much quieter. I mainly do long journeys so most ...

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge
Thanks for that.
Gauge and sender came together so I'm hoping they match :good: , and it's a 10 Bar gauge.
Has anyone tried one of these in order to keep the original light as well?

3 Point Rear Belt
My GT has only got lap belts in the back and I noticed that the later cars had 3 point belts. Anyone know if the later belts be fitted into my car? That way I can put a baby seat in the back for the little one!
