Re: Fog lights or no fog lights verdict?

Thanks Dutch. Old school is definitely cool. After all, ugly as they may be, those fog lights are a part of the car's original facial features. Think I agree with the rev on his earlier post. If it were a standard looking GTII they'd deffo look right if they were to be put back on! MrGarf, I'd ...

Re: Fog lights or no fog lights verdict?

Thanks guys! Always nice to get praise on a car that you've worked hard on. It gets better with time that's for sure. It turned out to be a good little motor in the end. I'll have to take it to the next meet, although its still far from perfect. I need to get it alarmed too. Not sure which system to ...

Re: Fog lights or no fog lights verdict?

*Shudder* Yes I soon changed that! I was the only bidder on eBay when it was for sale. I couldn't quite actually believe what I'd bought at the time. Especially when it was dropping fuel all over the floor in the petrol station. Good job I only had 100 mile trip home. Luckily the heater worked well ...

Re: Fog lights or no fog lights verdict?

Thanks! I've spent a lot of dough on it now, respray in original Alpine white being one of the things thats cost me! It looked like a Zebra when I bought it. Unloved and uncool. I bought some smoked lights for it. http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad125/robnoon/Scirocco%20gt2/roccyrear1.jpg This is ...

Fog lights or no fog lights verdict?

Hi everyone! Really cannot decide if i should put the fog lights back on 'MONO' my Scirocco. Here's a pic of the car without. http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad125/robnoon/2A018D39-8195-4378-ADD1-EFCDD222E5B2-939-000000EA81CAC93A.jpg What's everyone think? Re: Bought my old Scirocco back

Havent been underneath it properley but it basically needs a full strip down and rebulid. Inner wheel arches (in boot are rotten) as well as outer arches. Took the wheels off today and all the suspension bushes are knackered etc engine bay is a mess, cracked dashboard, seats have seen better days ...

Re: Let project GT commence

Car looks as though its coming on great by the way, when I restored my MGB roadster with my dad I quite enjoyed the metal work involved. Is it any closer to being on the road?

Re: Let project GT commence

How did you get on with removing the side windows? Gotta take mine out soon as I'm going to replace the headlining. I take it they just pop out? Might get a screen fitter to pop the windscreen out. :)

Re: Bought my old Scirocco back

How much do you reckon they are worth? Was thinking of putting them in my GTII but I think I'd rather see where I'm going during winter if that makes sense. Not sure if they'd suit my car either. I payed £20 for them back when I had the GTS but they must be worth a bit more that due to their rarity. ...
