Re: Any unusual engines sitting in 'roccos?

The 1.8t I have in my mk2 certainly hasn't taken any of the charm away! It's added some if anything!

Re: Jetex twin

Pics won't be in the build thread! I moved all my pics into a different folder in my photobucket and it wrecked all the links! So I gave up! The Jetex fitment isn't 'great' and upon cutting the tailpipe to get rid of the twin tip I also discovered that the actual diameter of the boxes pipe work is n...

Re: Mars Red GTX Restoration

Pm me your email address!
I moved the photobucket photos into a folder and it wrecked all the links, hence the pics missing here!

Engine is now in, just plumbing it all up!

Add me on Facebook 'Henry Wright' and there is the album on there :-)

Re: will a 1.8t conversion spoil mk2 handling?

The extra weight will 'effect' the handling yes. How much though, not enough be detrimental in any way.

I intend to run a stiffer front ARB, but that's it!

Replacement fuel tanks

For those of you with post 84 cars, with the larger 55l fuel tank (small spare wheel well) that needs replacing, and don't want to pay the £370 that VW Heritage want for a new one here is an option. http://secure.fueltanksdirect.co.uk/vw-golf-clipper-convertiblescirocco-fuel-tank-8493-91-23-382-115-...

Sorry for the lack of update, work, getting the race car ready and general lack of motivation! I'm a firm believer in the fact to get something done properly, unless your in the right frame of mind. Or can actually be bother than you you shouldn't start it. So, a few months later! The tensio...
