cant wait to see the finished thing. you always see smoothed and de-bumpered mk1 golfs, but never sciroccos.

Re: Ebay Wheels
short answer yes, long answer no. they'll fit... but you will have some pretty severe arch problems. the fronts should be alright on standard suspension, but the rears will hit the arches if you have any load in the back.

but surely you could get passed that by estimating what you'll need and getting a few jets either side, jets are cheap.

Re: 928 wheel fitment
just had a rethink, 30mil spacers seem more suitable, original steels are 6j, et38, so 7j et35 doesnt seem like too much of a stretch right? i ran 7.5j et25 a while back and they where too wide to be practical.

928 wheel fitment
i've got a chance of a nice set of porsche 928 wheels. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88/mellonfish/monza/new-wheels3.jpg its a set of 4, all 16x7j, and i'm lead to believe theyre et65 (will confirm) lets say i use 20mm adapters, that'll mean they'll work out 16x7j et45 right? would that fit or w...

whitewall tyres, white bumper strips and roof gutters, white wiper stalks, white flocked dash, white interior. that would be so cool.

Re: Fuel economy
i think thats about average really. i drive a gt2, so thats a 1.8 carb (with webber) and on average small runs i'll get high 20's low 30's, but lately i've been driving longer trips (gradually moving my stuff over to my new student house) and got 120miles to £20, i work that out at about 36. i'm sur...

Re: Fitment Of Rocker Cover
seeing as the carb engine doesnt need a throttle cable bracket, does that mean a gt2 will take the rocker cover without any mods? i was just going to paint my rocker cover..... but a polished one would be lurvely. (i'm assuming the ex and dx engines use pretty much the same head?)
