Starting problem

Hey, been having an intermitent problem with starting the car. When I turn the key the oil light flashes and then I turn further and nothing happenes. The starter motor does nothing. If I try again it works. It doesn't happen all the time and someimes takes a few attempts. It took about 6 attempts ...

The flexi pipe is attatched to the strut via a cable tie. It's the bracket that's attatched to wheel arch just before it attatches to the rigid brake pipe. It's was mot like that so no problems there.

Rubber gromit is missing. Where can I get a new one? will I have to disconnect the brake pipes to put it on (re bleed it)???

I found the problem. Its where the front flexi brake pipe goes through the bracket just before it connects to the rigid pipe. There is nothing stopping sliding up and down on the conector when the wheels travel up and down. Any suggestions on what I can use to stop it from happening. Ill take a ...

Squeak

Hi, Last few weeks the front left (nr side) has developed a squeak when I go over bumps. I think its coming from the strut but cant be sure, and doesn't do it if I bounce it when stationary. I had an advisory for worn bushes on the MOT, could this be the problem? Not the best diagnostics done but ...

Is the fitting 11 mm or would an imperial measure be more accurate. When using a 11mm brake spanner, there was a little movement, but 10mm was too small.

Thank you, I found the everything you said. Im still struggling getting whats left off tho. Iv tried mole grips and thats just chewed it up even more. I think im gonna have to grind it off. Iv had a go at the rear ones and they seem to be just as stuck. Any ideas before I end up chewing those up ...

Well, I kept trying and made it worse. Iv ended up splitting the rigid brake pipe. Where can I get a replacement. Its the front nearside rigid break line for a mk2?

Hi, Im trying to fit braided hoses and cant disconnect the old rubber ones from the sold hose at the front. Iv managed 1 side, it went pretty easy, but cant do the other side. Iv soaked it in WD40 and am using a brake spanner (11mm) but its stuck so hard Iv started to round the bolt on the hard hose ...

There was a rust hole so I investigated and it went right through. The whole door is rusted on the inside at the bottom, needs replacing.
