Hey folks, as above i am looking to swap the bottom end of my DX engine, I happen to have a 2.0L mk4 Passat (engine code - 2E) my DX isnt standard though, i have already swapped in a TSR pack A head, Quattro throttle body, 16v WUR and a couple of other small bits and pieces. my question is this, how ...

looking to get solvent based paint tho! bodyshops i believe are only allowed to legally use waterbased paints nowadays because of the "isocyanates" released when spraying solvent base paints!!

howdy folks, finally made a start tonight to getting the rocco refurbed, got the front all stripped down to the bare slam panel, but to cut a long story short where is the best place to get a good matching paint, NOT RATTLE CANS though and preferably solvent based!

sounds lik head gasket, however, i wouldnt get the head skimmed as this makes the engine go through head gaskets like its going out of fasion! instead if i was you i would get a refurb head from TSR and one of their metal (steel i think) gaskets!

i did myn about 9 months ago.... thought it was a piece of piss, especially when compared to the fusebox on the mk4 polo that i did once before!!!! just pull it out and turn it downwards a bit and start at the front of the multiconnectors and work your way back!

my one used to be a hell of a stiff, so i sprayed it with some white spray grease aswell as some 3 in 1 oil, this made it a bit easier but the thing that made the biggest difference was when i replace the cam piece that the handle is screwed too, it cant be greased up without removing it which if i ...

ye all other functions of the digital display are working! I've been asured that the mfa was all working when the dials were removed from the other rocco!

iv replaced all the 4mm vaccum tubing including the one to the back of the dials!

as above my MPG, miles travelled and average speed are still not working! i have just swapped in another set of dials which i was assured were working correctly...... recomendations?

i would (and did) just replaced the whole lot when i fitted my new TSR head! so much simpler and easier than trying to recondition them!

Hi guys sorry for the eavesdrop I lost my exterior seal that runs along the bottom of the window basicaly sits where the window winds down into the door and stops water from pouring into the door is that what you mean when you say scraper? I just looked on vw heritage but couldn't find the part ...

no, the scraper is seperate, the window seals seem to be in 3 bits, the scrapers, felt seals that go along the back and top of the window, and another felt seal that goes down the metal 1/4 light seperator
