Re: KR on carbs

Why would you want to just out of curiosity?
Get a whole engine and use a bike carb pump. These regulate properly and give the carbs exactly what they need. These are cheap, and I'm sure you would need a regulator instead and this would be more expensive than a bike pump.

Re: Slow cranking 16v kr

Timing from crank to head or dizzy timing. I'm going to take off all the starter stuff and clean up all the connections I think and try from there. I may even put an earth strap straight to the battery. This has also been painted prior to my ownership

Slow cranking 16v kr

So iv got this strange problem when trying to start my kr, it turns over slowly then quickens up, then sounds like it's catching on something and almost stops,(not in this order just dead randomly). Re: mk2 gt2 bogey coloured piece of junk

so to date-
iv rebuilt the head,
the gearbox and block are bolted in- after having to change the cups on the gearbox(remind me NEVER to do that again... what a bloody pain)
the gear linkage is on, shafts are in,
coolant pipes are either on, or in place to fit,

long old thing this is!
