Re: mayo in the oil filler cap.
if you do have oil and water mixing it could be the oil cooler as thats the other point that the 2 could mix and they can fail but if its just a bit of mayo in the cap as others have allready said its probably just condensation build up and should clear if you take it out for a long run just keep an ...

Re: gt2 poor performance
if you pulled a plug and it was wet with fuel it must mean there was no spark to ignite it so i would say ignition side for sure if you say the plugs dizzy and rotor are fine it is either the coil the ignition amplifier or damaged cabling somewhere in that combo but just to double check swap out the ...

Re: 2.0l bottom end.

Re: oil leak
clean the area up then start it up and try to see where it is coming from just to make shure that it is coming from the headgasket as i have had leaks in the past from the rocker cover gasket and from the oil filter housing gasket too

Re: New Beetle 'cross-flow' head conversion... Anyone done one?
me and my mate put the 2.0 out of my old rocco in a caddy and he used the crossflow head i think you can change the pulleys and just use the 1.8 or 2.0 belt but he fitted a mk2 newman cam in his pretty shure all the gaskets are the same the main problem is the water piping as there is no front water ...
