I've got a 1.8 20vt in mine with the mk4 02j gearbox, it's on the standard 150bhp map and in my eyes puts the power down really well! Bit of a handful in the rain if pushing it a little, But would deffinately reccomend the conversion!!!
Looking to get it mapped to around 190-220 but think any more ...

hi all, ive just finished putting a 1.8t into my 91 gt2 and having complete headloss over fuel pumps???? as far as im aware this is the same concept as the usual inj conversion,
at the moment i have got a fuel pump from a mk2 golf 16v and wondering if i actually need a lift pump along side this ...

buying new brake linkage parts
i took all my brake linkage to peices a while ago for a rebuild and i have lost the washers/bushes and also two of the brake pins that hold the triangle parts in place ( very technical description :yup: )

well im actually looking to upgrade to only vauxhall brakes anyway and poss rear discs, do you think i would be okay with a single circuit 19mm master cylinder or would you recommend a different master cyclinder for this?

well most of wiring is now done and ive managed to give it a scan with vagcom today, the results arnt too good but i suppose there not to bad when you think most wires have been cut/resoldered and fitted into a car there not ment to be :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

well im hoping to carry out pretty much all of it myself including the wiring, ill be getting the downpipe made up for me and thats probly it hopefully, im doing it for the experience and something to fill the little spare time i have lol. i know where your coming from with regards to the 16v and ...

yes, better of getting it all running and spending the money on that rather than a bigger turbo, cheers for the link mate, is it an easy car to live with? is there any other major issues when fitting the engine that you know of? but most of all would you say its worth the money, time and effort???

might settle for 150 to start with until its running then see if any more power is needed. just it would make sense to get manifold and downpipe sorted for new turbo as the downpipes the only part im really planning on not doing myself along with remap obviously. if get any time next week will take ...
