Oh! i neglected to comment on your white GT.
I can only repeat what you said - that is one good looking car - a fine example and little wonder we fall in love with 'em.

Re: Show us your Mk2 - picture thread.......
Thanks, Captain.
She's been on steelies all her life and i've never liked them. Today i fitted the Ronals and i'm very pleased indeed.
I thought i'd have a quick peek at Poppies progress but it turns out to be quite a read. So i'll pour me a large one and settle into the thread.
Cheers

Re: Show us your Mk2 - picture thread.......
Well here's mine. I bought her in 1990 and have known her longer than the Mrs (a point i let slip out once :? but we try not to mention it now) Anyhow. The photos were taken a few hours after the new RONALs were fitted (bought from Sean) and i'm dead, dead chuffed with them. Thanks again to MarkH ...

Re: Project RED GTX
I saw this project in the flesh yesterday when i called on Mark to collect some wheels for my MK2. I think it's important on any project to have a good method and plan in place, remain patient and don't cut corners when it comes to quality. It was pretty apparent that Mark's right on top of this ...

Re: Seized stud rocker cover!
Perhaps the torque setting in the Haynes manual is relevent to a cork gasket only. I'd take it up to three white knuckles (about 40nm) ;)
Seriously, i dunno, but the torque value might need to be different.

Re: Introduce yourself
Just a quick hello from me. Been driving Sciroccos since 1982 when i bought my brand new MK2 GL Then in 1990, changed it for my current roc, a MK2 GT2 (1989)
I'm from the Wirral and was delighted to see that my roc had been 'spotted' somewhere in Bangor, Gwynedd.
Really good to be here.
