Scala Up For Auction with Bonhams
Just seen this Scala in Bonhams upcoming MPH auction later this month. She's a rough old girl, and they've conveniently not highlighted the fact she's done 274,000 miles! If it goes for £4,000 I imagine all mk2 owners will get their insurance valuations updated! ;-) https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/...

Re: K-jet Idle speed changing...
Meant to say thanks for this mate! Ordered a new o-ring and it's now on the idle jet. Hoping it'll help out idling issues when I get round to finishing off the current jobs and starting her up again.

Re: Clutch cable - again!
Sorry for trawling another ancient post up from the depths, but I'm currently trying to track down a new clutch cable for a K-Jet myself and having no joy. Does anyone know of any currently available, or can VW dealers still get hold of them? Mad that they're so hard to come by, particularly when th...

Re: MK2 Scala restoration what to do next...?
Don't really have much in the way of spares at the moment mate, as I've only had my Scala a couple of months, and most of what I've replaced has only been fit for the bin! Would be interested in buying them off you though potentially if that works for you instead.

Re: MK2 Scala restoration what to do next...?
On a side note mate, did your Scala come with those mud flaps, or did you buy them? I'm after a set if you can recommend anywhere to buy a set. I really dislike those mud flaps (I think its the blue VW logo that does it for me) and was considering removing them if it didnt involve taking the skirts...

I've got a plug from dreadnought that I need to glue in when I get some adhesive: https://dreadnoughtcustoms.co.uk/collections/exterior-parts/products/scirocco-mk2-rear-wiper-blank But for now I found a 25mm one of these just about works: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blanking-Grommets-Rubber-Grommet-C...

Re: MK2 Scala restoration what to do next...?
The one thing I really like the look of is the louvres the guy is selling from Poland. http://mowad.opole.pl/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/zalinne1m.jpg I had a set of those louvres arrive last week, and can't recommend them highly enough. Great seller, well packaged and really good build quality. You...

On a side note, does anyone know the correct size for the hex bolts for the rear cylinders? I'll get some new ones ordered asap.

Removing drum brake rear cover
Afternoon all, I've discovered my rear drum brakes are completely knackered with the cylinders held on with rounded hex bolts, so I'd like to just take off the rear cover on each side and give them a good clean and/or replace, along with replacing cylinders and obviously the shoes themselves. I can'...

You're an absolute star mate, thanks so much for that. Have just ordered one of your repair plates, so that will certainly help!
Will rip out the old cable shortly and order replacement of the same part number just to be safe. Thanks again :)
