WELL, After many weeks, she now has a clean ticket! Now bodywork to do... also cleaned up the seats, and managed to get the previously painted black doorcards BACK to their original grey.

Re: MK2 Scirocco B759 MEC
Cheers guys for your help, The car is now not far from MOT. Just a few other (non mot) things to sort... https://uploadir.com/u/k637rcol.png At the fusebox, there's a black and green wire, with a spade connector floating about not going anywhere. I have a feeling it's for the rear wipe/wash? This wa...

Re: MK2 Scirocco B759 MEC
Tonight I measured the voltage on the offending sidelight, A measly 1.2V! Meanwhile the other side works fine. As do all the other lights... I did find a broken wire, a brown one, on the pass side, bodged it back together but no change. I did notice when I stripped the wire back the majority of my l...

Re: MK2 Scirocco B759 MEC
Right, a lot has changed, we now have a weber fitted, and my old 2E2 found a good home for £50. The car is running sweet as a nut, im just ironing out some electrical gremlins. One odd one that has me stumped... The drivers side side light has 0V. Nothing at all, The Passenger side works. As do both...

Re: Stereo Wiring Colours
Cheers guys, I have traced them all. Both fronts are there along with a permeant live, and earth. The rear speaker cables have been cut more or less to bulkhead! So i'll run some new ones... And i've made a switched live from blower motor feed.

Stereo Wiring Colours
Hi guys, my scirocco mk2 wiring has been heavily butchered with a crappy alarm, now ripped out, and the radio wiring. I want to take the radio side of things right back to bare. What are the original wiring colours, and did they have a factory switched live or only a permenant live.
Cheers.
Cheers.

OK, So pictures don't look like they'll ever surface. This video is excellent. The subtitles make it very easy to understand for english. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL7Nk8LiG2A

Re: MK2 Scirocco B759 MEC
Cheers guys, I've found there to be numerous problems with the rebuild the prev owner carried out, plus some general wear and tear so i've ordered a rebuild kit for the carb to do it myself. I also replaced the fuel pump as this failed.

Hi Guys, Ive gotten myself a bit of a project, From a previous owner. Anyhow, Im a ford man, So i've never touched a VW, yet alone the dreaded Pierbur...
