Updated guys turns out it was the water pump one of the bearings have gone got myself a new one from Euro car and had it fitted Scirocco is running fine now and no more rattling noise

update the guy has looked at my car he said its definitely not the timing chain he said the noise is more a water pump problem was told £35 to have checked and looked at he said the sound is coming from the bearing below if it was the timing chain it would sound more on top then it coming from the ...

I do have a lead but i don't have the software at the min its over the road at a garage dropped it off last night the guy will call me later today
