Re: Wing mirror glass

The mirror plates do come off by inserting a screwdriver on the underside of the mirror & gently rotate the large disc on the back until the locating lugs line up with the relief holes in the backing plate. The mirror glass can then be pulled out.

Re: Scala "black" tail lights

Hi You could get some 3mm pinstriping & use it to mask in between the ridges & spray tint or spray paint the lenses then remove the pinstriping. It worked for me after some clot reversed into my nearside light & either I couldn't find a decent Scala tinted rear light or people were askin...

Re: upgrading front discs

Can anybody point in the right direction for which year of corsa the calipers, carriers & flexis can be obrained from for this mod. Also, where can the bolts be bought from that are used for this upgrade? I've seen that they are M10 but what is the length required etc? The main thing that stops m...

Re: Wing mirror glass

Hi.
Try checking your local motor factors for a replacement glass for either of the following....
VW Passat B2 or 32b version 83ish-88 or 89 or
VW Santana B2 version...
Same mirrors & passat/Santana were listed more often for pattern parts
Hope this helps

Re: Steering on Mk2

Have you checked if your front tyres are wearing unevenly? As has previously been mentioned your camber & tracking. These should have been done anyway, especially if any work has been done such as lower arms & ball joints because the steering geometry would have altered. Best bet is to get i...

Re: White striped tail lights scala

3mm pinstriping works well.
Either pinstripe the raised ridges with preferred colour or pinstripe recesses & spray/tint raised areas of lenses after masking surrounding area. then remove pinstriping after spraying.

Re: Water leaks into the Boot, mk 2 Scirocco

Try the area that runs the rear wiper motor wiring through from the c-pillar to tailgate. The wiring should run through a rubber boot. If possible peel back the grommet ends & check for corrosion either to the c-pillar or to the tailgate. Rear gas struts as has been previously mentioned, also wh...

Re: Is my exterior paint correct to the interior style?

The I.D sticker is usually found on the rear panel inside the boot & has paint code/ trim code etc printed on it. What colour fabric is on the insert on your front door panels? Where are you situated? I may have front & rear seats in grey with 'designer check' pattern on the seat centres &am...

Air intake for DX engine

Has anyone had experience of changing original intake pipe( to airflow metering box )? Because, as I'm sure you're aware, the original tubing is next to useless & finishes at a thin air duct which I think relatively useless.. I have seen the air ducts which replace the nearside inner lamp.. look...

Re: Bonnet Bras For Sale On Ebay

If anyone is interested in a bonnet bra for a mk2 scirocco then you could widen your search by looking for a goof mk2 one. The leading edge of both bonnets are the same and the bra for both vehicles is the same.
Just a bit of useless info acquired from over the years!!
