Found the problem - split carb flange!

Surprised really it was only a problem at low revs, it's in a pretty bad way, easily fixed though. Just wish I kept that used spare I had now!

Thinking about it, I reckon it may be lean. Yeah I can't fault them at all, they've been a real good help. I'm glad the carb was playing up with them too, I was half expecting them to say it's all fine and the issue must be elsewhere. I'll be refitting the new one tomorrow so hopefully no more rough starts and leaky carb.

Thanks for that, I may send mine to Bromyard if I have too much trouble with it. I did consider this a few years ago but opted for the weber as it was a cheaper option. Had I known I'd have found myself in this situation I'd have paid the extra money and sent it over there way back then.
