Found the problem - split carb flange!

Surprised really it was only a problem at low revs, it's in a pretty bad way, easily fixed though. Just wish I kept that used spare I had now!

Yeah I can't fault them at all, they've been a real good help. I'm glad the carb was playing up with them too, I was half expecting them to say it's all fine and the issue must be elsewhere.
