Re: The Revolving Door

I know that pain! But thinning the fleet is sometimes the best thing to do.
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a rear bumper 👍🏼

Re: scala colour options??

I had exactly the same question.
I have a black Scala which needs a respray and I wasn’t sure what the original colour options were.

Truth be told, I quite fancy some shade of grey but that doesn’t seem to have been an option.

Re: Scala Progress

My next query is the engine. It’s got a solid original engine with 97k on the clock. But the more I drive it, the more I think I want to hear a 2.8 VR6 when I turn the ignition key...

Re: Scala Progress

Yeah, genuine E33 as far as I know. It’s still in the post though, so a bit of blind faith on the purchase. Hoping it all arrives first week of Jan [emoji1694]

Scala Progress

No huge project. Just tweaks to a clean car.
1st photo: Answering the call
2nd photo: Got her back home
3rd photo: After 4 weeks finally found the wheels I wanted
4th photo: After another 2 weeks decided to go coilovers instead of lowering springs

Re: Mk2 Scirocco R32

Looks great!
Couple of questions:
What happened to the R32 engine and how have the AP coilovers held up?
Thanks

Re: New owner - engine advice required

Close... I’m FROM Shetland but living in Aberdeen. I picked her up from Southampton. 10 hr drive and she averaged 45mpg 🙂
She’s been garaged most of her days so in terms of rust, she’s in pretty good shape. I do intend to give her a full body respray at some point but thinking to run her for a year ...

Re: New owner - engine advice required

Wow, thanks!
Yeah, I think a good service and she should be good for a while.
I’ll pop some photos up when she’s all cleaned up and looking pretty 👍🏼

Re: New owner - engine advice required

I like the sound of that.
I’m taking her in to the garage for a health check over the weekend. Hopefully get a clean bill of health.
