Re: Cylinder heads to fit std 8v carbed gt2 and cams

Mk1 Golf and early Mk2 Golf GTi (K-jet) will fit and have a better cam shaft fitted already and they will give you more go, you will need to block up the fuel injector holes on the back of the head. Re: Loosing coolant - somewhere... mystery, help!

I would say start with the cheapest possibility and work through based on peoples advice. The o ring sounds a good shout. My old 205 gti used to use water but run fine. I was convinced it had issues but my Dad strongly. disagreed as it ran ok. On frosty/real cold days i always noticed more of a ste...

Re: dx dizzy in a ex

Sorry to hijack a little here but is the dx dizzy actually better in terms of how the car drives with it?

I may well fit one myself if so.

Thanks

Re: Lower strut brace fitting question part 2

Make sure you keep lubricated or treat the area you drill.

No strut brace is worth a new rust patch next winter :)

Re: Whats gone wrong, Car higher on front end after overhaul :(

It's still sitting higher than level at the moment so i may well loosen the arm bolts and see if it drops at all too.

Just got to order the rear end now and get to it :)

Re: Whats gone wrong, Car higher on front end after overhaul :(

The rack still has to go on but its nice to see the front end all new... minus the shocker bodies which didn't come up too well sadly. The arb bracket had a free turning bolt too and i had no welder or brazing rods to hand. I used superglue and cotton to make a repair patch and it held up excellent ...
