Re: What Coilovers to buy

I installed AP Coilovers, best bang for buck. They are the same as KW V1, just different colour. Ride is sporty and still comfy.

Re: GOOD COILS AND SHOCKS SUGGESTIONS

Hi

I was running TA Technix coils for a summer and they were crap. Just really hard and horrible.
Switched to AP Coils and almost perfect. Not that hard but still sporty enough. Price wise 500€ a set. AP Coils are KW V1's but blue colour :-D

Re: Info On a 1.8T (Golf Mk4 GTI) swap

To keep it simple use a donor engine with regular gas pedal, not this electronic fancy pancy :D
1.8t AGU is the engine code for that.
I used it for the swap.
Mine is 224hp, used k03s turbo.

All the mounts for the engine and gearbox are off the shelf from Epytec.de
Intercooler from a Mercedes ...

Re: Best engine conversion? Any help please.

Gather all the parts before you start, it's a lot faster to build if you don't have to wait stuff to be delivered.
I did order as much as I knew that I would need and still had to wait for some intercooler hoses for two weeks :D because I wanted black ones instead of blue ones.
Overall it took about ...

Re: Indicators

Thanks for the code.

I doupt that the MOT guy knows the specifics of an old volkswagen :) and if he actually starts pissing about them l, then I’ll just put them back for him.

I haven’t managed to go to the MOT yet, just finishing up the engine swap.

Indicators

Hey guys.

I took off the side indicators which are in the wings. Now need to do some magic for the relay, the indicators flashing seems to be extra happy :-D
One option would be to leave the side indicator bulb to flash in the wing but there must be a more reasonable solution.
Perhaps anyone has ...

Re: Engine rebuild and stuff

I had the 1.8T completely rebuilt. It's like better than new now.
The total cost for parts, including even the last nut and bolt, was 670€.

Re: From where do you guys buy parts?

Deuttchland - VW wonderland did it again. Managed to find a brand new turbo for 200€. Seller was assuring that it's a real thing. Even if it a rebuilt one, it's a ok price I think.

Thanks for thoughts.

Re: From where do you guys buy parts?

The k03s is a straight swap with k03 (which I got right now), so thats why I would prefer it.
The k300 would need further modifications and would give too much power for the poor rocco :D

From where do you guys buy parts?

Hello,

I'm looking for a new fancier turbo for my project. I don't dare to order from Ebay since there is sold a lot of Chinese crap. So i'm asking where do you order your stuff? :-)

Looking for a k03"s" aka k03-52 or similar, something that is found on the 180hp A3, Golf4 and etc. It should be ...
