Component speakers
I've been considering upgrading the front speakers from the (very nice) JBLs tp something with a separate tweeter I can stuff into the dash somewhere.
Now, the JBLs fit perfectly into the door speaker receptacles and allow the grilles to be fitted as well.
Are there any component speakers out ...

Re: Crappiest Car I have driven!!!!!!!!
As I confessed on the gear linkage thread, I have previously owned a Maestro, which was pretty dire. However, I have also owned not one, but two Peugeot 309's. Both have been "I need a cheap car NOW " jobs. They served a purpose, but did it in the most boring, lacklustre, uninspiring way possible ...

Window winders
Thanks to a subtle combination of cack-handedness and sheer brute strength, I managed to snap off my driver's side window winder.
I thought I'd take the opportunity to go a bit bling and get a pair of those alloy jobbies.
Can anyone recommend any? Are they a specific VW fit, or pretty much ...

Re: Fuel leak!
Thanks Birdy, but I got the full set off Mr P. And it's a good job I did, as it turned out there were two leaky hoses - the one I pointed out and the one that runs along the top of the engine to the "fifth injector". The braiding had been rubbing on something and worn through to the rubber hose ...

Re: Fuel leak!
I have a full set (all x7 hoses) in good condition. £25 delivered. That's if you can't find an individual hose, as unfortunatly I won't split the set becuase they'll be useless.
Rich.
Thanks. If no-one comes up with the single one, I may well take you up on that offer. I guess if one's on the ...

HELP!
Driving back from Madstock last night, through London, I could really, really smell petrol when I had the window open. Had to stop at Newport Pagnell to stick a tenner in the tank, as the gauge was dropping a bit quicker than usual. Checked under the bonnet and under the tank, but no obvious ...

Lights on head unit pulsing
Since hooking up the Alpine head unit to the lovely amp what I got off of Jim-Bob, I've noticed that at higher volumes the back-lit buttons on the Alpine pulse in time with the bass.
This can't be right, can it? What have I done wrong?
