I've seen it (very nice car) - belongs to the guy who ran/owns Furnimax showroom in Accy. He did have another mk1 up on ebay a few weeks back at 15k, has loads of other classic cars as well - must be having a clear out!

Couldn't make the Nationals last minute personal reasons - gutted. Done about 350 miles now and a couple of local car shows. Took the advice on fluids and just changed the engine oil and filter which only had 350 miles on them, also did the gearbox oil and was pleasantly surprised with it colour. So ...

150 miles in varying conditions on different runs - so far so good!

Just had a look at the National post - If the 'shakedown' remains positive, then YES, I will do my best to turn up - it's certainly no show n shine contender!

Just a quick update - V5 returned and now taxed. Done about 50 local miles - flashing red light in temp gauge now sorted itself out! Runs really well, the idle has also dropped to below 1000 rpm and I plan to change all fluids at 100 miles. Performance is very good when compared to my RS2000 (gti ...

It's back on e bay relisted at 4500 - obviously trying his luck! The other one at 8K looks a better bet.
