It's a Mk1 Scirocco GTI, so it must look good - does it not? Under close inspection though, the attention to detail is not up to scratch for a 20k price tag. Clearly a full resto paint job. Wings are not a perfect fit. No 1/4 line side mouldings (admittedly impossible to find). Painted over bonnet ...

Show us your tail pipe !! If it sweeps up to top left as seen from the back of the car - it will be from Scirocco Mk2. If it does a little kink and comes out fairly parallel to the silencer - then it maybe a from a Golf Mk1 Cabrio (later 1.8 cars). Haven't checked the number however ??

I was referring to Sean's estimate of £6-7k Like you say, it will be interesting to see what it sells for.

It looks to be a pretty clean car, but you can never tell from photo's. Has anyone seen it in the flesh (metal)? £6-7k seems a low estimate if indeed it is as good as he describes? I'm guessing it will go for £7-8k ? Wager anyone?
