Re: The Perfect Storm?
Little update, Mr Mark Carter has been kind enough to relieve me of some cash in return for a front panel - I hope to pickup this week. I am going to start the process of recommissioning the engine this week to see if I can get it to run, the plan is: Drain oil and replace inc filter New spark plugs...

Re: White Lightening Scala
She has gone for MOT today.
Either a rear shoe has fallen apart or a bearing failed as it started to make a very nasty grumble from the back on the way to the garage :(
I am not expecting a pass first time as the last MOT was 7 years ago - lets see what the MOT man says she needs!
Fingers crossed

Re: The Perfect Storm?
Time for a small update! The front panel and underside of bonnet are gone...lots of rusty bits there, but the rest of the car seems to be very solid indeed! My friendly local tyre place have helped me out by fitting some tyres that actually hold air to the wheels so that I can move the car around in...

Now on 4 matching wheels - all with good tyres, I hope that Mr MOT man is happy with them!

Re: White Lightening Scala
Little update, a few months back I bought some GTI lights with a broken lens, and had planned to refurbish them and source a lens. http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii639/matthewjamesnorman/E766%20ELH/GTILightsBroken_zpsputwt7kl.jpg I managed to find a lens as part of the zender front end I had fo...

White Lightning Scala
I thought it was about time that I started to do some work on the white MK2 which I purchased sometime last year. Here are the photos which convinced me to take the gamble and make an offer http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii639/matthewjamesnorman/E766%20ELH/received_1364675496880485_zpsxhfrer2c....

The Perfect Storm?
Hello one and all! I've probably not been a member for 10-15 years, but the temptation to get back into the scirocco family was strong and recently I was unable to pass up the opportunity to acquire a MK2 Storm that needed some love. http://i66.tinypic.com/2wedjsw.jpg The elements have started to ta...
