Re: Vauxhall brake upgrade - how old?
Older than that I think, but if you want a 256mm set up I have a pair of 16v GTi calipers and Scirocco 16 carriers sitting around that will bolt on once cleaned up for less than the cost of the carrier's. I've upgraded to 295mm 2 piece discs.

Re: Info. Supercharging 1.8 8 Valve EX engine (mk2 Scirocco)
Get a supercharger from a Merc c230 or the like. Then use a speeduino ECU to control timing(it can retard the distributor ignition) and put the Weber on the inlet side of the charger. You'll need to sort some pulleys, a belt, and a mount for the charger, but if you're making your own hydro clutch ...

no heater channel, block the injector holes with 1p coins and chemical metal or something, nice and easy, you wont see them without really looking.

Re: 1800 8v tuning
i have the AGG bottom end in mine, with a GTI PB head, a newman 268 cam and a weber 32/34. goes quite well! youll need to swap the dizzy drive gear on the dizzys as the 1.8 and 2.0 items are very different sizes. drill the old pin out and buy a box of roll pins from halfords to fit the new one. then ...

Carrier to hub bolts
Anybody got a link for these or know the bolt size and pitch etc? I'm upgrading to 256mm brakes and after spending a few hours trying to undo the old bolts I have decided I'm going to be drilling them out and replacing with new items.
