I have a mk2 Scirocco storm regretting selling but I can't keep it any longer runs and drives MOT and tax exempt next year

I read that the extra moisture it contains can cause carbs to corrode as well

Yeh I heard about super unleaded staying E5 for a while, didn't realise VW had said E10 is safe tho that's good then! Still wouldn't mind looking into a future EV conversion been watching that vintage voltage program can see it getting cheaper and easier as technology improves. It's not a daily ...

Anyone else thinking about a possible engine upgrade to avoid any possible issues? Maybe even a diesel turbo or electric?

Registered august 1992 and having read the info on this forum the last of the roccos (gt2s) were fitted with central locking and electric windows so happy to know it wasnt aftermarket like the sunroof lol

Old mac much respect mate thanks so much for helping me out with parts and advice! As for volksfling I'm up for it my car is far from show class but it's mechanically sorted and ill be there representing :) cheers for the invite Bruce! And maybe get the storm there by next year if I'm lucky! Lol

Where do you stay? There's a guy I've been speaking to in Glasgow that has one as well prob be easier just changing the whole block over lol

I've got a compression gauge there so was going to test the cylinders first and see what the results are if there are any issues ill prob just replace the block but keeping the cylinder head and mechanical fuel injection system
