Re: MK2 Rear view mirror

Hi, I recently bought a new OEM mirror for our '86 GTX from VW Classic Parts Germany www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de part no. 443 857 511 01C €62.95 plus postage. Bit pricy but original and worth it to keep car as built.

Re: Forgotten GTX

Hi Matt, What a find!! I saw Mr T's photos on FB and yours show much more detail of the overall condition. Ant restored our own '86 GTX that had been laid up in a driveway with the window open for 5-6 years over 2013-14, and it's been great fun and proved a real eye catcher when out on the road ...

Re: The Rocco Grotto

Photo of our RR restored GTX and the missus on its first spring grand tour to the Isle of Arran over the weekend of 28/29 March 2015 Highland scenery sets off Mr T's lacquer finish very nicely! Car ran like a dream over 220 odd miles and a ferry crossing apart from an annoying body resonance at ...

Re: The Rocco Grotto

The 'Chap from Scotland' that Ant's restoring the GTX for here. Saw the car in the metal for the first time at the weekend, and conspired with the guys at RR to spring a surprise on my good lady. Risky business, but pleased to report all went well and she's highly delighted with the car and can't ...
