Re: steering wheel alignment

Cheers Mark - yes I've got it off in piece and disconnected the wires - however there is a square plastic section which is stopping me getting to the nut. Part number is 191 419 675 A. Not sure whether this is bolted in or just pushed in and again, don't want to break it. Do you know how this is att...

Re: steering wheel alignment

If you do need to remove the steering wheel undo the big nut but don’t remove it completely as you may need to tap behind the steering wheel with your hands to losen it and if the nut is removed there’s a chance the steering wheel will fly off when you bang it and it’s hits you in face..... I found...

Re: steering wheel alignment

You need to check the steering rack in centralised, lift the front of the car and count the turns from centre to full lock each way, it’s about 2 1/4 turns each way, find the middle and set your steering wheel to that then get your tracking done as they will adjust it to a straight steering wheel a...

Door handle surround (interior)

Hi,

I'm looking for the interior door handle trim (driver's side). Is this the correct one?

steering wheel alignment

Hi, I got my car back from the bodyshop and asked them to check my wheel alignment - and I believe they have done so, as the steering wheel is completely out of position. I have the later steering wheel (see link) and I'm guessing the center part is the bit I need to prise free to get to the nut? ht...

Door trim (bottom)

Hi,

I'm looking for the trim which goes at the bottom of the doors for my GT. Looking at this diagram is it number 25 or 26?

I may be free for this as I live very close to Ryka's so I could meet you guys there. On the A24 on the stretch just before Ryka's cafe there are average speed cameras now - just a word of warning ;)

Re: Scirocco Books?

It depends how good your German is, the only one I know of is: https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/buch-aufregend-vernunftig-der-volkswagen-scirocco.html I was going to approach the publisher and ask about translating this book. I think a lot of UK users would like this as there isn't a lot ...

Re: Car Parks and MORONS

I know what you mean.. glad you left a message, let's hope they take a note. I hate having those transformer vehicles parked near me because when little Tarquin opens the door they have no care in the world are quite happy to bang the door into our cars and leave it. The saddest part is that these p...
