Thanks for the reply. It's kind of tempting to try and put my fan blades onto an equivalent mk3 motor but that's probably more effort than it's worth.
I'll grab my part number and go from there as you say. Have borrowed one for the time being!

The radiator fan motor on my 91 GT2 has died. It's the 3 pin, 2 speed type. Does anyone know if any of the other (more common) vags use the same fan motor and blades which I could bolt into my original cowling? It has been suggested to me that one of the mk3 golf ones may work? This would be ...
