Re: Sub/ Amp power issue
The headunit has regular RCA (?) outputs as well as the cable so its run via that!Jack92 wrote:Out of curiosity, where are you taking the audio feed for the sub from? considering you chopped the audio sub out off lolcrashbanggg wrote:Hooked it up to the Ariel wire and it works perfectly, happy now! Re: Alarm/ Immobilizer cutting car out whilst driving
I'll have a check over some bits tomorrow. It's currently earthed to my parcel shelf clip bits (Which is aluminium with a bolt securing it in place), but I might switch it to the rear seatbelt plug connectors as that looks a bit more 'raw' for the metal contact.

Re: Wipers, windows and heater randomly dying
I have been trying to ignore this and just put up with it, however it appears to be getting worse and im getting colder! I have a feeling it must be the ignition switch as it will occasionally kick in with a bit of a wiggle of the key, but not every time. Would it be a case of replacing the ignition...

Alarm/ Immobilizer cutting car out whilst driving
The last two times I have driven my car, the Alarm has gone off and the immobilizer has killed the engine, once when I had to do an emergency brake at about 60mph and again today when I hit a small bump in road. To turn the alarm off, I had to get out and disconnect the battery both times. However t...

Re: Sub/ Amp power issue
And the earth is currently on the same earth as the rear lights, however I'm thinking of moving it to the rear seatbelt belt bolt bit if that would be ok/ work?

Re: Sub/ Amp power issue
Sorry if I haven't explained it very well! I have power to the amp via a power cable directly from battery (only at the point at which I reattached the battery terminal was I made aware that the alarm does in fact work... I never jumped so much in my life) The issue is, although i am 99% sure it's w...

Sub/ Amp power issue
I have just tried to install a sub/ amp to my existing setup (Phillips CEM300 with Alpine 6x4's), however I can't seem to get power to the amp? I have connected the remote output from the amp, to the 'Subwoofer out' on the head-unit (By cutting off the plug and twisting the wires together), but stil...

Wipers, windows and heater randomly dying
I'm having some issues with my electrics. Over the past few days, the window wipers, electric windows and heater have been randomly cutting out, which is becoming a bit of an issue when it's raining and the car is steaming up! They do appear to work again after stopping the car for a bit, then tryin...

Going Lower- what's needed & whats good?
I know there are lots of threads on suspension/ lowering, but it all seems a bit of a minefield so I thought i'd start afresh! The standard suspension on my '92 GT2 is starting to get a bit tired, so I am looking to replace it and lowering it 30/40mm ish at the same time. Due to being a skint studen...

'92 Flash Red GT2
I've finally got round to uploading a few pictures of my (relatively) recent acquisition. It's a 1992 GT2 with 135k on the clocks, and as of yet, seems to be in pretty good condition overall! It's still got the original peiterburg(?) carb, which appears to be working alright for now, but that will p...

Re: BMW e30 wheels- bolt size required?
Though after doing a test fit of the wheels it would appear the tyres are a bit big so there is some rubbing on full lock... ah well! Remove your poo shields matey. Make sure the insides are Waxoiled or similar and you should be fine I did wonder whether that should help, il have a play at the week...
