i have managed to select every gear apart from reverse it just dosent seem as though it want to go in its just sitting on the edge i can feel it wanting to engage but it just wont.

Well last night i finished fitting the new ignition and door locks to the GT2 and for a car that has been standing for so long i was impressed then i turned the key.
i attached the car via jump leads to my picasso and jumped in turned the key and life was there. no spluttering or smoke it just ...

Sorry for the spelling My new scirocco is outside my house now just needing some tlc and a mot. it looks like im going to have to take the steering colum out and drill the ignition to replace the damaged caused when moving it. also a full new lock set i have found some on ebay that will do unless ...

also will the mk2 glof locks and ignition fit?

i dont have keys thats the problem. i have now managed to get in no damage at all. just need to strip down the steering colum to get the steering lock off to fit new locks and ignition barrel now.

has any one ever put 1.8t engine in out of the mk4 golf gti?

Hi all

i have just got my hands on a 1990 Sirocco. The first problem i have is it has not moved in over 1 year and the second problem is it is locked and i have not been lucky enough to get the keys as the are lost hence the long standing time.

Any help on getting in with minimal damage?
