Hi solved......Clint and me had a good lok and reckon its running well now, (i'm clints eeer technical advisor, spanner monkey)
We had the top off the fuel tank, which was clean as a whistle, I blew down the lines to make sure they were clean too. We swapped all of the annoying little vacuum pipes ...

Hi my good friends just bought this from fairlo, From what we've experienced he didn't attempt to fix any of the faults? My friend paid £350 for her (I'm not jealous much!!!)
Just the cutting out sticky/faulty lights switches and randomly moving seat to sort out.

The filler neck is rusty and will need changing in the future, but, its not enough for me to suspect its the problem. The car has a clear fuel filter fitted which looks pretty clean and the fuel in it appears clean too.
However the ignition module appears to be an original VW/audi unit and an old ...
