Re: Carb cylinder head and manifold cooling/heating
Mine's a pig to start from hot too mate got the same aluminium gasket between carb and mani. Suppose no water cooling the manifold didn't help either :-) . I see your point with the aluminium conducting more heat and heating the carb up, might try a rubber gasket if that make hot starts easier,don't...

Re: Carb cylinder head and manifold cooling/heating
Thanks Ben that's a massive help cheers :-) . Think I will reconnect the water through the manifold then, will check there's no leaks in the bugger first. And I'm ok with leaving the manifold heater wired in happy days. I know people often disconnect and blank off the heater. Is this a better option...

Carb cylinder head and manifold cooling/heating

Re: Quiet exhaust
I have been looking into the doing the same mate. I'm pretty sure the standard exhaust is available through local inde centres, GSF has most of the system but not the back box for some reason. I have looked at that manifold on eBay but haven't taken the plunge yet. The second picture where the exhux...

Re: Rocco mk 2 manifold and exhaust upgrade
Cheers guys, had a look and jetex make a good looking system. Couldn't find one on Ashley's web site, plenty for mk1 golfs which I suppose could fit a rocco. The jetex system connects at the down pipe, they don't seem to make there own manifold to match. Cheese for info I will keep hunting for a mani...

Hi all, :newbie: I'm a 1st time rocco owner  and looking for some exhaust/manifold advice I have a 1.8 8v carb version and am looking at fitting a 4-2-1 manifold and an aftermarket exhaust system. But I seem to be struggling to find any reliable info on either. Does anyone know of someone ...
