5 inches of snow on the rocco so won't be working on it in the only daylight hours I have this week A4hour window Saturday morning

Thanks chaps I will have a look at the leads situation on Saturday re testing the spark I did earth the lead
I will post any progress on Saturday

still wont start no spark checked rotor arm and dissy cap both new two weeks ago lots of dust in ther put old dissy cap back on still not fireing what next any ideas could it be a relay coil or other

Hi I have checked the fitting of the weber all vacuum pipes fitted correctly I have a new choke cable fitted
I have checked all fittings all semester fine after a hour of fiddling and it will. Still not start I checked the spark I do not seem to have a spark could it be some thing I have done or is ...

Hi Ben thanks for this I have got the fitting guide from you a few weeks ago I have followed it apart from one vacum pipe witch I will look at on Saturday morning

Would the vacuum pipes being wrong stop it from starting ?

It is second hand got it of here been on a rocco before I think I have the vacuum pipes wrong if any one can give me a picture of how they should be it would help

Do you smell petrol on the plugs when trying to start the car? Is there petrol getting to the carb, I think you should see petrol squirt into the carb (when you have the air intake off) when you press the accelerator pedal even with out the car running.
Have you plumbed in the fuel in and return ...

Fitted a weber now won't start

Hi I fitted a weber yesterday and have spent all morning trying to start the car it did fire up once and died
Any ideas
What I have done so for removed the old peiearburgh disconnected all plugs put them to one side fitted the weber reconnected the water to the inlet manifold put the vacuum

Or sell it to someone like me who only has the small fuel tanks and can't get a new one from VW.

I have a spare filler neck (for my own stock) which I think is the shorter version - I'd be happy to swap if you ended up with a longer one.
