Re: Show us your Mk2 - picture thread.......

i'm in the middle of stripping and polishing every exposed surface i can find, so don't be too horrified, i've still got all the bit to go back on :yup: and some nice shiney polished wheels running 195/45/14 should hopefully get it back together for the meet at stone on 20th http://i1219.photobucket...

Mk2 Rear Spoilers

have been considering having a cut down rear spoiler made out of c/f or fiberglass, would anyone else be interested in this idea, as i'm sure large order/group buy would make it a lot more feasable, i think the options of bare c/f, satin black to match black bodykits or colour coding make it an attr...

Easy Engine Swaps??

Any suggestions on reasonably easy engine swap options, looking at more modern VW's for theire lovely fuel effiency and power (i'm currently driving a 1.6gt so even a golf mk4 1.4 would be an improvement)
more interested in issues and differences in mounts, as wiring is no problem for me

Gearbox Problems... Please help

this may be completely normal but maybe not; My 1985 1.6 gt has a 4+E gearbox (at least thats what the gearknob says) and 1st is a pain in the bum to get and 1-3-5 all feel WAY too close together, is that a problem with the box, or maybe just the shift linkage? ideas anyone? i've had a fair few 80's...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi all, i'm James just got a Mk2 1.6 GT in red, lovely with the 2-tone black, pics will follow soon, just waiting on some parts, have opted for 80mm drop and sitting it on 195/45/14, single headlight conversion and smooth grille, just after ideas and opinions thinking of having the roof and tailgate...
