Was in town and thought id drop in to europarts for some face to face ... got a boy that was more helpful (i think) asked for springs for the mk1 golf as suggested by Ian... Only to be told they wont fit but springs for an old jetta would .. so taken the chance ...

Hey sry should have put it was a 1.8 8 valve...

Just off the phone to my local vw dealer .. just to be told don't keep stuff for cars that old thanks for calling bye....

anyone got a link where i could go to get std front springs...
vw heritage/europarts /GSF dont stock them... only place i see them is ebay but they dont say anything about them and dont wish to buy blind....

I did at the start of the year cost me in postage then custom charges then fitting.. cant remember total cost...
but was worth a water tight windscreen and a dry fuse box...
