I had the same problems you have. The loud tappet noise when acclerating. Turned out that the weld where the 2 pipes meet had cracked away and there was a small hole.

Grind a flat surface on each side of the head then use a spanner. Works for me.

Found this on ebay earlier and was curious if it would fit. I need a center pipe to get it through its mot. Heres the link:

I have a RHD hottuning manifold and there is a gap of about an inch between it and the steering boot. It hasnt even melted it either.

Looking through old family pictures today and spotted a red mk 2 in the background reg: B592WCP.

I have a serious oil leak coming from the oil cooler. I have narrowed it down to the seal between the cooler and the housing. Any idea how to remove the cooler? It is a later water cooled type. Thanks
