I had the same problems you have. The loud tappet noise when acclerating. Turned out that the weld where the 2 pipes meet had cracked away and there was a small hole.

Grind a flat surface on each side of the head then use a spanner. Works for me.

Cleaning roof lining
Having noticed that the cream interior roof lining looks dirty im wondering what is the best way/stuff to use to get them looking new again? Thanks

I have a RHD hottuning manifold and there is a gap of about an inch between it and the steering boot. It hasnt even melted it either.

White MK2 Or at least i think it was white Couldn't see in the dim streetlights. Reg: F357WL* stuck at lights on springfield road in grantham at around 8 pm friday night. Askmid confirms it as a GT auto.

Removing oil cooler
I have a serious oil leak coming from the oil cooler. I have narrowed it down to the seal between the cooler and the housing. Any idea how to remove the cooler? It is a later water cooled type. Thanks

Not running properly
Periods of wet weather are making my rocco im possible to drive. The engine turns over but wont start. Got out the wd40 and gave the leads and everything around it a good spray. Didnt make any difference at all. Eventually got it started and set off but it was misfiring if the accelrator was pressed ...

Rear brakes were done for the mot. Got plenty of tools though. Im guessing the front is not as easy.
