I'm no glass expert, but removal is very easy. With two people its a breeze. Its getting someone to install one properly these days is the issue.

You could of kept the original setup and upgraded the discs to 256 using different calliper carriers to upgrade the brakes from the standard 239mm to 256mm. These would be a straight bolt on

I would go for a new windscreen rubber and take it from there. I had a similar problem and dicked around for donkeys. Ordered new Windscreen rubber from VW classic and eventually after a while, got a guy to install it as most window fitters either refused, as it was too OLD SCHOOL and required work ...

I'm getting the floor of my scirocco sorted as there were two small holes at the front. My brake pipes on inspection where like a patchwork quilt of joints. As they have been removed I'm going to replace them all.
