Re: GTII 16v Conversion
Changed the nearside CV boot over the weekend and she is now ready for an MOT, booked in for Thursday. Been out this morning with the Meguiar's Deep Crystal system paint cleaner and the oxidized pinkishness is looking a lot better. Just got the polish and wax stages left now. Wish me luck for ...

Long story short I had a rather bad backfire caused by a dodgy earth to the megasquirt which blew a gasket somewhere as the revs immediately went through the roof, I assumed the worst and parked the c ...

Re: Rare as they come - My Rieger GTO Scirocco
I got one of those Hot Tuning manifolds for my conversion and it was terrible, the studs on the head did not line up with the holes on the manifold and when I finally got it on it sat against the steering boot, so much so that it put a hole in the boot and the joint rubbed against the manifold which ...

Got the exhaust manifold from DUBpower:

We weren't too sure if it was going to fit a Scirocco and the guy said if it didnt fit they would give me my money back, they were very helpful.

Re: GTII 16v Conversion
It's been a while since I got anything done on the car besides fetting a new battery. I've now got the bits I need for the fuel system to stop the fuel starvation when the tank gets low: Swirl Pot: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5161/5249080912_afb832918e.jpg DSC00646 by Cookie-101 , on Flickr Low ...

Re: Spotted
Not sure if it was white or not, it was very dark so was difficult to see the colour with the headlights beaming, it was definatly a light colour though.

Im using an 020 gearbox so are there any other engines which used this gearbox and have more powerful starters ...

Re: Burning oil
Im pretty sure its not leaking. I only ever really notice the smoke when I rev it at idle and when I come to a junction or something. Never notice it while driving.
