Re: Accepting Registrations.
It seems the website has only a few of us left using it and most people have moved over to the Facebook page (I use both) but the website is easier to find old threads on fixing things.
I’ll try and message the site admins o see if they can accept his request to join us on here.

Re: Water Leak

Re: Water Leak
A stiff bit of wire in a plastic sleeve so you don’t damage the paint or a long cable tie can be used to clear any blockage.

Re: Idiots' guide to replacing alternator belt please
Yes the nut often rounds off because someone has not loosened the bottom bolt and bolt attached to the bar and forced the nut round. It’s the cam belt which you need to twist through 90 degrees, the alternator belt tension is 1/2 way along it’s longest length with your index finger it’s should defle...

Re: Warm Starting Issues
I also had to replace a bit of fuel hose as mine would not come undone from the accumulator.

They also sell other hoses and an accumulator.

Re: Warm Starting Issues
Most of them will fit as I brought a good 2nd hand one from a ford capri which is slightly longer and does not have the screw on the back but a tube to feed it back to the fuel tank so I fitted a small bit of hose and put a screw in the end, it works and was a lot cheaper than a new one.. https://ww...

Re: FIXED: Help Please! Car won’t start after oil change.
The jubilee clip is just slid over a bit of metal, you slid the clip towards the back of the car and it’s off it’s fixing. You can buy the smaller filter but I would recommend getting the later filter if you can. Smaller fuel filter. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393258430988?epid=250651411&hash=it...

Re: FIXED: Help Please! Car won’t start after oil change.
Early cars (pre 1985 ish) had the thinner filter, later cars were fitted with the bigger fuel filter, I guess someone before fitted the wrong thinner fuel filter and changed the jubilee clip.

Re: Warm Starting Issues
The accumulator hold the fuel pressure when you switch the engine off and when the engine is warm and you try and start it, the fuel pressure will still be there. Video explaining it better than I can :-D about 3 mins in but worth watching if you want to know how the fuel injection system works. htt...
