quick update : got a fair bit done this weekend. Head is all built up with new kent 270 degree cam, followers + new stem seals, manifold studs and various other bits and pieces. blanked off the 5th injector. new gear linkage arms and bushings with 50% reduced throw short shift kit fitted (feels ...
Re: kent cam
i withdraw my stupid question just realised the notch comes off the old cam and goes in zee new one...
kent cam
my new cam arrived today :) however have just noticed that it does not have a notch on the end that the pulley slots onto like the standard one does.
is this a problem? or is the notch just so you put it on at the right angle for the timing marks of the standard cam?
cheers, Tom

Re: 3a lump supercharger
You can supercharge on carbs... yeah i knew you can do it, a friend of mines got a supercharged classic mini :pilot: just figured would be more straight forward ( lol ) to go down the injection route, would allow you to use some g60 goodies such as the throttle body and maybe even the engine ...

Re: 3a lump supercharger
its a monster of a task matey, do it! the manifold is the least of you worries if its a route you would like to take. I'm not sure about supercharging a carb'd car. you'll want to go injection. you'll have to mount the supercharger, which will require alot of measuring, making room ...

Stem Seals
Hello there,
Just wondering how you get the valve stem seals off a DX head. little buggers seem to be in there pretty tight. started pulling them out with pliers but just started ripping rubber instead of getting them out. cheers, Tom

Re: 88' GTX [FECKO]
Withdrawing my previous question. just read up on the VDO gauges. The pressure sender has 2 connectors. one for the original wiring to keep the pressure light happy, and one to go to the gauge. but apparently it will have a higher low limit than to standard one so the pressure light may flicker a ...

Re: 88' GTX [FECKO]
Sadly Ive mucked it up to a point where its going to be un economical to have the drill bit remains taken out. This is a direct consequence of being too stubborn to go out and buy the right tools. Lesson well and truly learned ... :yup: Looks like MarkH has saved the day once again for this car. has ...
