Hi, are you able to take pictures please? I can send you a phone number or email address if you’re unable to upload them to the forum.
Inner and outer wings, windscreen scuttle, rear arches, back panel are all of interest.
Thanks.

Good price considering the amount of quality work that's gone into it. Should be a good one for years to come.

Re: Water in rear footwells !!
I'd look inside the doors first. I've had this on a few cars and it's often the door membrane, and it can leak into the rear footwell without touching the front floor. Do you normally park facing uphill, or is it pretty much flat?

Re: thinking out loud
You'd get away with these on a race prepared Mk1 :) http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y219/chopperoli/moved/DSC01170.jpg We run those on the race Mk1 golf that I spanner on, because it ran them back in the day when it was in the Tricentrol saloons. They weren't cheap to get hold of though. Mounted ...

Re: The Red Shed - GTI Engineering RE2000
Right bit of an update, the car's being used for VW Action then most likely being rested to up to save up for some repairs, its started to smoke on the over-run when warm and generally be a bit whiffy, guessing valve stem seals have gone, so will be saving up for a head rebuild, along with new ...

Re: How to: mk2 carburettor to injection conversion
Or you could just buy the car you want, rather than building a car you can buy.... Anyway... I've heard of people using Mk3 golf in tank pumps on a Mk2 golf, but they probably won't fit in the scirocco tank, as the opening is smaller. In any case they probably don't have enough pressure for a KJet ...

Which is why you should learn to work on your car yourself... no one else will take as much care. Mechanics are always in a hurry to get the job out the door and get onto the next one.

Re: 1982 1800 GTi for sale
Bargain. If I didn't have too many cars already I'd be all over this. More pics might help to sell it, but a sound early car with an MOT for £800 with a few good bits on it is a steal.

Looking good Bill. Is it going to get a bit of a brake upgrade at the front, to rein in all those extra horses?

i've looked into the database, i can only delete all messages or none. if you really want them deleted right away, i will spam your box with 50 messages and then you can delete those 50 pm's. otherwise let your pm box flood untill there are 50 messages shown. and then delete the ones you don't want ...

Re: FORUM GLITCH - we're aware
The forum upgrade looks good. Thanks for all the effort that went into that.
I've still got the PM problem. If we can't fix the missing messages, can we clear them out of the database in the hope that it will free up PM inboxes? Or do we need to wipe all the PM related tables and start again?

So I finished off the repair with a bit of zinc primer and stone chip on the inside of the rear wing behind the light - try to stop it from coming through again. Crap pic but you get the idea... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v512/mikehorsb/Rocco/83GL/18FEC023-76A0-4B7B-8C3B-017B624EAEA1 ...
