Hey - its the fuel level..... think I have found the problem but not had time to sort it - the connections on the loom to the instrument panel are in a slightly different order than my original unit - so think gonna have to move the wires.

I have just changed my instrument panel on my mk2 scala for a mk2 golf GTI... it is the correct one so I believe.... 2pin with MFA *140MPH clock* Everything works ok except I have no fuel gauge. Thanks for the reply..... there is no bolt holding it up, but you can't push it up much more than it is already so dont thing that will help. Its pretty bent out of shape, so was thinking of taking it off the car and sorting it out once and for all..... I presume as it has no bolt - ya just unclip ...
