Footman James have specialised in classic car insurance for over 25 years and enjoy a unique relationship with enthusiasts and enthusiasts clubs alike.

if the car is more than 20 years old and worth £15k or less we will accept a self-valuation with photographs

for multi-vehicle policies you can insure 3 or more vehicles on one policy provided the majority are classics

To claim your SR discount please either quote your membership number if you are a paid up member or quote SRF TYPE53 if you are a forum user only.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – exclusive to paid up members of the Scirocco Register –

We have arranged, exclusively for paid up members of the club taking a policy out with Footman James, for the Scirocco Register to have a named contact in their classic car team who we can follow up with on behalf of a member in the event a claim runs into any sort of difficulty. Pretty useful benefit I think we’d all agree.

Scirocco Register will also receive a commission on any policy taken out by people quoting Scircco Register as a source for the enquiry.
We will also be referred to when any non SR people phone up/enquire re insurance thus attracting more users/members over here.

sue has just renewed with FJ and the guy on the phone commented saying "nice line up of cars you got there" he had a bus abeetle and a mk1 golf and he mentioned the FJ were actively looking into the VW scene along with the show scene and he said they were going to be big sponsers of the NEC show in November, I have used them for over 6 years now and though I have never had to claim (touching wood as i type) they are really good Value, 3 cars, 2 with agreed valuation of 3K 10,000 miles, 2 drivers, 3 points £206 all-in.

they agree values of under 5k without an inspection, you have a pretty intensive form about the condition to fill in then they want specific pics.

Was a previous AON customer for many years and footman James. Had the Rocco off the road for a few months, repairs, mods ect. Declared everything, webber carb, brake upgrade, lowered all round, strut braces ect, even down to the MK2 Polo S steering wheel and they came in cheaper than last year and then give me a further 10% discount. I even requested that I would like the car to be insured to commute to work on occasions and this was not an issue. When all other Insurance company's are hiking their prices due to the recession, uninsured drivers ect. Nice to see one company that gives value for money, an agreed value on your car and a reason to keep on Rocco'ing!!

1 standard 8v Scirocco GTX, no mods, value £600 - ordinary policy to maintain a transferable no claims benefit.
Wanted £642 to put with Highway. :shocking:
Last year it was £229 with Royal & Sun Alliance.
Even a Classic policy was £350.
Computer says this is best we can do.
:bye: :bye:

Churchill - £186.50.

No contest :ok:
