Genuine floor mats for scala

Post by Philcraig »

Hi

Does anyone know where I can get some genuine floor mats for my 89 scala?

I’ve tried the usual heritage parts etc and I don’t want the ones made by carmats4u etc

If anyone has any ideas I’d be grateful

Cheers

I don’t think you will find genuine car mats for a car out of production for 30 years.
You may find some on eBay if you are lucky and someone has stored them and not used them.

There is a few companies out there that make mats the same shape as original mats, VW did not make special carpet for the mats....

A couple of VW mats came with the Scala I recently bought, but no idea if they're the real deal! Do you have a part number I can check for you?

I tried finding some original mats for my Storm and the used ones I came across were pretty awful. I ended up having some custom ones made and was quite pleased. I posted a pic back then. Looks like the company is still around too.

I looked it up - they were £115 and I had bought them in 2016, so they were a bit expensive. But very good quality and they have held up very well.
