Re: A20 GTX - Where it all began
So, the AEZ's have ended up on the GTL so the BRM has the Castellets on for now.
Think I've got a leak in the heater matrix based on the smell of coolant after a run yesterday.
New exhaust awaits - the current Supersprint is still solid but the pipe doesn't suit a non kitted car and it'll be for sale soon.
New cambelt and speedo cable soon too - then can start planning paint with other work needed on running gear, rusty hubs/wishbones/anti-roll bars etc etc.
Coilies, the 7X15 RA's, another black roof-lining and a retrim to come later in the year.

Re: A20 GTX - Where it all began
Back down the Phirm today.
Cambelt change as scheduled, last week noticed a balljoint was worn and i managed to split a steering boot when moving the wheel when on trolley jack - cheap pattern parts both that have barely done 4000 miles since 2005 so got those sorted PLUS swapped the Supersprint exhaust..........
for a nice new Jetex
Since the bodykit came off this one the Supersprint didnt suit the car anymore - much better for a bodykitted car methinks, Sander has already secured the tailpipe for one of his beasts.
A great drive back. Lots of throttle action for the sake of it through the Surrey Hills!

Re: A20 GTX - Where it all began
So - a quiet few months for this one again. The 16v proved to be an expensive car last year and this one further delayed.
Passed an MOT last week after brake fluid, full new rear brakes and clean up/paint job on hard brake lines plus new plugs, dizzy cap/rotor, fuel filter, gearbox oil and rocker cover change.
Drives brilliantly - looks rough. Which can be fun............

And so after nearly 8 years since the re-shell the BRM will soon be heading to the paint shop once the Mk1 has been picked up.
All the proceeds of the last few years hoarding as much 'nice' bits have been loaded up - NOS front bumper, bonnet sound proofing and the original cars mint OSF wing to follow when needed.
Next stop Rocco Grotto - I won't miss that bonnet!
On a previous visit to Ants

Not yet Rick - diary juggling to be with Ant to help fit the new roof-lining after paint. Not sure if this will match up with your visits but hopefully they will.Reverend Frog wrote:you off to the grotto Sean? I may see you up thereGTXTRA wrote:And so it begins.
Hate deadlines but as it happens it's 25 year in June since I bought the original car the engine and gearbox came from - and the clocks - so if the Welsh Wizard does his magic I think I know what car I'm going to be doing e.g. Inters/National with.

A few shots from the Rocco Grotto courtesy the Welsh Wizard.
Scabby arse.
Solution.
Wider treatment.
He's a bit good our Ant I'd say.
