Re: Introduce yourself
New boy to this Forum but can see from all the posts that its an active and helpful place to be, so thanks for accepting me into your ranks.
Had Sciroccos back in the mid eighties and then again about 12 years ago. Fallen for the sleek lines of the Mark 2 again , this time a Sapphire Silver Scala is parked up in the drive.
Bought a few weeks ago off eBay , unseen and with 10 months MOT. Seems to be in reasonable shape for a 29 year old car , but with all these old cars, there is always plenty of room for improvement. I'll be begging for help in a while but suffice to say, good to be back in a pocket rocket and look forward to being part of the enthusiasts for these old classics.
Cheers, JA.

Re: Introduce yourself
About to pick up a 91 GT2 this weekend after about.... 20+ years of wanting one. Its been buggered about with over the years. My intention is to return it bsck to standard and go from there. The history and photos suggest that the car was a club member, but I couldnt see the name. I will be tapping into everyone knowledge while I start fixing things... wish me luck its a long drive back home down the motorway!!
Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome to SR fella, post up a pic with the number plate and no doubt you'll get some information on your car :)

Here is a rear photo of it. The paperwork would suggest an ex member

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome BillyBob780, I'm sure I recognize the number plate, GTXTRA may have a list he can check for you?
Had a quick look on the MOT history of the car and it's a low mileage one you have there, only 2000 miles a year, it seems the brake lines might need replacing at some point as it's been an advisory for a few years?
Last MOT
Advisory notice item(s)
Nearside Rear Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
Offside Rear Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
More info here.

We always like a project build thread so post one up in that section for us to all read and if you need any help or advice let us know.
