A Lot of Bottle

Post by RussGLAuto »

Morning gents,

Had that filthy washer bottle out over the weekend. Amazing what a couple of dishwasher tablets can do overnight. Loosened all that black grime internally, then a quick scrub with a Brillo pad ( an Ian Tyrrell trick that also works on white wall tyres ) on the end of a bottle cleaner, hey presto, a squeaky clean washer bottle:

Took the opportunity to clean the chassis leg and internals underneath this and the battery tray too. Gladys continues to surprise me with how rust free she is after 40 years. Under all the muck, that battery tray came up as fresh as the day it left the production line!

On the to do list is to source a new extension pipe to the bumper overrider washer nozzle and re-instate the headlamp wash.

Looking nice a tidy in the engine bay.
You are lucky with the battery tray as that’s normally rusty from battery acid..

That's down to one very careful little old lady owner for the majority of its early life!
