The picture on the oemepc site referred to above, looks nothing like the actual part!
It will fit the top metal cover, but as mark1gls says - you have to remove the top cover in order to fit the bottom cover.
Top cover was removed to make way for the bottom. I will know more tomorrow and have some pics. They supplied 026109175A

That’s the later lower cover so that’s why it’s not fitting the original metal top cover.

Looks like heritage has supplied the wrong part for your car....

I think you want this part, 049109175. I can check the part number on my 1988 car tomorrow.

I've had a look and the lower plastic cam belt cover is part No. 049109175. :good:
