DX Camshaft Part Number

Hello all,

Looking for a DX cam for my 1.6 8v EW engine, anyone have a part number (or aftermarket alternative)? My engine is 1988 so guessing I need one for the hydraulic tappets?

I think the part number is

026 109 101 G

Don't believe they have full part numbers on them, just the final letter ground in. G is the DX, at least the later one.

I got the part number off the old VAGCAT

Seems applicable to a DX engine from 1988

I think you are right that they only have the "G" ground on them and nothing else

From what I can see some stamped with 049G so are pre 1986 and 049J is post 1986?
